Plastics Unwrapped was a traveling exhibit hosted by the Oregon Historical Society from the Burke Museum with many elements being fabricated in-house. One element was to consist of a series securable display cases, each housing a number of artifacts. The unit needed to be pre-fabricated, modular, perfectly fit within the space assigned, and form the hypotenuse of a triangular wall section. I modified the ikea cases by adding internal led lighting and magnetic locks which left the display very minimalist without the need for drawer pulls or other hardware.
